Green Hospitals DownloadBristol-Myers Squibb Company is committed to sustaining and improving the lives of people throughout the world. As part of our corporate commitment, we are constantly seeking to minimize the environmental impact of our operations. We also think it important to share our experience and “best practices” with others dedicated to delivering the highest quality of health care. As part of this effort, Bristol-Myers Squibb Company has sponsored development of “Greener Hospitals: Improving Environmental Performance” to assist health care facilities to develop environmentally protective programs. A successful environmental program at a health care institution must include two core elements: First, the institution must fully understand and comply with all regulations and laws that apply to its activities; second, it must establish an environmental management program that in many respects may go beyond minimum regulatory requirements. "Greener Hospitals" is intended to assist your institution in developing its program to satisfy the second core element. As such, it provides broad environmental management principles that will assist in developing a program to comply with the applicable regulatory requirements, but these principles must be combined with a detailed understanding of the legal standards on a national, regional and local level. We strongly recommend that your institution seek the assistance of a competent professional who is familiar with the legal requirements.Greener Hospitals: Improving Environmental Performance Use the link below to return to the Bristol-Myers Squibb Sustainability Customer Support page.
