Facts and Figures

- The Clinical Pharmacology Unit is located off Whitehorse-Hamilton
Square Road in Hamilton Township at Three Hamilton Health Place, adjacent
to the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital at Hamilton. The complex consists
of a 70,000 square foot clinical research facility operated by Bristol-Myers
Squibb. Adjacent to the building are convenient parking lots.
- No chemical manufacturing or major chemical processing operations
take place at the site. The primary activities at the BMS Clinical Pharmacology
Unit are clinical research, general facility support, operations, and
maintenance.

Economic Development 
- The facility contributes to the local economy through employee wages
and benefits and contributions through taxes.
Community and Social Progress
- In April 2004, Bristol-Myers Squibb received the Beacon of Safety
Award from the New Jersey State Safety Council. The award is for outstanding
and continuous achievement in occupational safety over the last five-year
period. Through this award, Bristol-Myers Squibb is recognized by the
council as a company whose commitment to safety consistently achieves
excellent results and serves as an example to all of the highest level
of commitment to the safety and health of its employees.
- Based on safety performance indicators, the Hamilton Clinical Pharmacology
Unit has received the Governor's
Occupational Safety and Health Awards.
Environmental Performance 
- Environment, health & safety (EHS) and sustainability programs
for Hamilton are managed in concert with the Lawrenceville operations.

facility page.
- Fire, life safety, and access control systems also utilize the latest
technology. The complex is constructed with fire resistant materials
and is protected by an automatic wet-pipe sprinkler system. Fire extinguishers
are located throughout the facility and smoke detectors are located
in common areas.
- The commitment to quality materials extends to the building's mechanical
systems where advanced technology has been utilized to ensure maximum
comfort and safety.
