Facts and Figures 
The Bristol-Myers Squibb Ecuador facility produces
pharmaceutical and consumer medicines and nutritionals for both domestic
and international markets. Dosage forms include solids, oral liquids,
semisolids, injectables, and powders for injection. Product types manufactured
include:
- Anti-infectives
- Infant formulas
- Vitamin products
- Analgesics
Both pharmaceutical and nutritional products are exported to Andean Pact
Countries and Central America.

Economic Development
- A laboratory for cephalosporin products was constructed in the cephalosporin
manufacturing building to improve product separation and prevent cross-contamination.
Community and Social Progress
- The laboratory expansion includes a 100 percent fresh air feature
to minimize employees' exposure to chemicals.
Environmental Performance 
- A new waste water treatment plant has been installed with a capacity
to manage semisolids oil-based manufacturing.
- Facility personnel use a contractor for recycling cardboard, paper,
and disposal of lab solvents.
