10.17.2006 2006 International AIDS Conference

The Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation presented the company's commitment to fighting HIV/AIDS at the 2006 International AIDS Conference, held in Toronto. Focusing on its groundbreaking $150 million commitment to women and children affected by HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa, in addition to a number of presentations by SECURE THE FUTURE grant recipients, the company presented new clinical outcome data gathered from its SECURE THE FUTURE Community-Based Treatment Support Program, a six-country demonstration project in sub-Saharan Africa. That program combines treatment with community support in resource-limited settings hardest hit by the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
